Pre-filled Petitions - 3 per page

webElect.net provides the ability to print pre-filled petition forms to assist in the qualification by petition process. Selected voter info is merged with a petition form so only a signature and date is required from the voter. Petitions are printed 3 per page and includes a barcoded voter id number to allow for easy tracking of completed petitions.

You can use the following methods to print petition forms:

Print Individual Voter and/or Entire Household

  1. Look up a voter's info record.
  2. Click the appropriate button in the upper right section titled "Output Options".

Print Groups of Voters

This method works well for collecting petitions from events where several people will be attending.

  1. Add all the expected attendees to a group.
  2. Use the query/targeting tool to specify your criteria and keep only the groups that will be attending the event.
  3. Select the "Candidate Petition Forms" output option to print an alphabetical listing of petition forms.
  4. Take the forms to the event and ask everyone to sign and date them.

Print petitions for walks

Collect petitions while canvassing neighborhoods!

  1. Draw a walk packet boundary in MapPoint
  2. Choose if you want to split odd/even houses into different lists
  3. Click to print walk list
  4. Click to print petitions.

Petitions print for each house in the same order as the walk list. If you select to split odd/even, all odd houses from all streets will print followed by all evens for all streets.

Tracking Petition Forms

  1. Create a group to track the completed petition forms, ie. "08-Petition".
  2. Click the "Barcode" link next to the group.
  3. Use a barcode scanner to scan the barcodes of every completed petition form.
  4. Click Save to add those voterId numbers into your petition group.
