- Voter Scoring Changed : Due to the 2010 general election, the General Score for the scOracle ranking has changed. If you were using the general score to select voters, see here
- Orange County Precinct/District Issue : Orange county is reporting an unordinarily high number of voters that have a unique combination of precinct number and district fields. It is still less than 1% of registered voters but it makes the precinct selector look very off because of the qty of precinct combinations. If you see a precinct listed twice in the selector, be sure to select both lines. I have emailed the DOE and Orange SOE and will update this info ASAP after hearing back from either.
- Missing Voter History Information
- 2/18/2009 - We've discovered two counties that were not reporting complete voter history information. One was not reporting the full list of voters in a municipal election and another (Brevard) the 2008 Primary election. We immediately notified the counties and the DOE to the problem and am working to make sure they correct it for the next months data update.
- Extra Precinct Identifier
- 2/18/2009 - Several counties have had a few voters in most precincts that have an extra identifier (usually A, B, C, D) in their precinct data fields. We alerted the DOE who was unaware of the issue. In talking with other SOE offices, we discovered the issue was caused by voters that moved from Orange county. That portion of their Orange county precinct was following them to their new county's precinct identifier. This issue would not effect your voter selections as the precinct would still be listed as an additional precinct in your precinct selection choices. We modified our processing routine to ignore this precinct info starting with the 1/30/2009 data.
- Duplicate precincts
- 3/3/2008 - Dade,
Hillsborough, Lee, Palm Beach, and Polk counties are incorrectly reporting multiple school board districts per precinct on the FVRS source data which causes webElect.net to list a precinct multiple times in the query/targeting tool. Be sure to select all occurrences of the precinct to include all voters in the precinct. We have notified the Florida Division of Elections multiple times of this issue but have only seen it resolved for Hillsborough county.
