Working with groups
When working under the Group Management function, there are three actions a user can take with an existing group:
Edit

Edit allows the campaign staffer to change the name of a group, another group of which the group being edited is a subgroup, the description of the group, and the shortcut key for the group. The group can also be hidden on group lists. Finally, the Edit action allows the user to delete a group, if necessary.
Output
Output gives the user several options for working with the group's membership as assigned by the campaign.
Export to Excel

The Export functions allow the user to save the data as a Microsoft Excel file for importing into another program. "Individual" includes all voters or contacts who meet the criteria, which can include multiple voters or contacts at one address. "Household" limits the output to one voter or contact per address.
Other Formats

Phone Bank is a specially formatted list of voters a campaign will use in an organized effort to call voters with a message. (Campaigns don't usually do phone banks for contacts.)
Labels

The Labels function will open a new window that can be printed on standard address labels.
Add to Deliverable Queue

This option will add the group members to a queue for a deliverable for future communications from the campaign.
Barcode
The Barcode function allows the user to rapidly add voters to a group.

The campaign staffer uses a bar code reader, which works with any computer, to scan the ID#s of up to nine voters at a time from a Walk List or Phone Bank list, thus adding the voter to the chosen group. The ID#s can also be typed using a keyboard; the bar code reader is optional for this function. (Most of the time, campaigns won't use the barcode function to add contacts to a group.)
Shortcut
Shortcut keys are used to make adding voters and contacts to groups and deliverables easier from walk list sheets or mobile devices. If you would like to include a shortcut key for this group, select a character from the list that is not indicated as taken.
Wiki Editors Note: Need to understand the how Shortcut Key and Hide on List functions work.
